PAASCU reelects NDJC President

NDJC President Fr. Romeo S. Saniel, OMI, DBM, has been reelected  Philippine Accrediting Association of  Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) Member of the Board of Trustees in a national assembly reelection held on November 16, 2016 at Century Park Hotel, Malate, Manila.

PAASCU is a private, voluntary, non-profit and non-stock corporation in charge of program and institutional accreditation to ensure that educational programs and institutions meet accepted standards of quality education

PAASCU reelects its Board Officers and Members every three years. Fr. Saniel was first elected Board of Trustee Member in 2012, when he was still Director of Notre Dame of Midsayap. This is his second term.

Last year, Fr. Saniel was also elected Vice President of the Asian Universities Digital Network and was awarded Outstanding Educator of Bangsamoro

Everywhere teachers and school administrators admit that the number of high school and college graduates with very poor reading skills is on the rise, even among private schools in the ARMM. As an educational institution in the heart of war-torn Sulu, NDJC ,too, had to absorb the grimmer side of the islands’ realities.

Many parents are however glad of the rare opportunity of being able to send their children to NDJC. Without the K-12 Program and the Notre Dame of Jolo College’s Senior High School, they say, their children  might never have the chance to have access to a good college education.
